Great ambience and staffs. Special mention to Max who went an extra mile with his service. The happy hour menu until 6pm offers some classic beers like PBR and house lager (do try, it’s delicious). They have limited but good beers on tap and a wide variety of drinks choose from. The patio is covered and pet friendly.

Thank god that amidst all of the cringe upscale stuff popping up in the area that Abe's is still around. Can't beat it for a regular place to meet up with friends at night and have a drink. Can be loud when it's busy but it's never been "screaming" loud. Patio during the summer helps a lot, too!

Uncle Abe's is an absolute landmark! If it ever closes, we're prepared to riot. They don't make them like Uncle Abe's anymore. Affordable drinks and great pitcher deals, beer and shot deals, good cocktails, and if you're hungry, you can get food next door and bring it in. It's not bar food. It's an actual restaurant. They have a nice heated and dog friendly patio where you can people watch, or sit inside, and listen to their very good music. You can even sit at the bar, and the bartender and other patrons talk to each other like what??? Easily my favorite bar in this city!

Super chill staff and surprisingly tasty fries! I love the custom paintings on the walls and appreciated that the music wasn't too loud to hear my friend chatting with me. It's getting harder to find unpretentious vibes in East Van these days so I'm happy to know this one exists! :)

Cool spot that knows what it is and does it perfectly. Comfortable, cozy, unpretentious. Beer was cold and cheap, fries were amazing, service was chill and friendly. Will be back.

Wanted to give a huge thank you to the server/bartender who was working last night! We came in close to closing time with a large party, and even though she was working alone and I know we were a handful, she was able to accommodate us with so much grace and professionalism! We had such a special night and felt so lucky to celebrate at such an iconic Main Street spot.
